Blake M. Murray

Blake M. Murray is a founding partner of the law firm of Murray, Ziel, & Johnston. He practices primarily in the areas of family law, estate planning, probate, and business law. He started the law firm of Blake M. Murray P.A. as a solo practitioner, after graduating from law school in 2009.

In 2014, Paul Ziel joined the practice, and together they formed Murray & Ziel, PLLC. Alan Johnston joined the practice in 2016 and Murray, Ziel, & Johnston, PLLC was established.

Blake is a native of Idaho Falls. He grew up in the Ammon area and attended Hillcrest High School. After high school, he served an LDS mission in the Texas McAllen Mission, where he learned to speak Spanish.

Following his mission, he attended Brigham Young University – Idaho and obtained a bachelor’s degree in business management, with an emphasis in finance. Blake and his wife met while attending BYU-Idaho. Today, they have five amazing children.

Blake obtained his law degree from the Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, KS. While in law school, he took part in the school’s moot court program and competed in Washington, DC. During his time at Washburn, Blake served as an ambassador to the law school as well as the president of the Washburn chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.

After graduating from law school, Blake served as the treasurer, vice president, and president of the Eagle Rock Inns of Court in Idaho Falls. He also represents Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) in child protection cases.

On a more personal note, Blake enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, riding dirt bikes, hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. He loves living in and serving the community where he grew up and looks forward to a long career in southeast Idaho.
