Full Service Law Firm Located in Idaho & Utah

Stephanie Hansen

Stephanie has been a licensed attorney for almost nine years with six of those years in Idaho. Stephanie received her Juris Doctor degree from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach. She began her legal career as a nonprofit attorney representing domestic violence victims in a small town in Oklahoma. In 2016 Stephanie and her family moved to Idaho to be close to family.

Once she became licensed in Idaho, Stephanie worked for a small but well-known Meridian firm where she gained experience in several areas of law including family law, civil litigation, municipal/government, nonprofit/business, real estate, landlord/tenant, estate planning and probate.

In addition to her firm experience, Stephanie spent time as an in-house counsel for a nonprofit publishing company. Her work there included working hand in hand with department executives in order to improve the organization’s internal contracting and compliance processes. She also provided staff training on legal issues related to publishing digital and print media.

Just prior to coming to Murray, Ziel & Johnston, Stephanie spent a short time at the Idaho Attorney General’s Office in the General Counsel Division. At the AG’s office Stephanie advised state agencies and elected officials on legal issues, reviewed and negotiated agency contracts and drafted legal opinions on various subjects related to Idaho law.

Stephanie is passionate about serving her community and continues to volunteer in both legal and non-legal roles to serve the community of Meridian. For example, she has volunteered at the Meridian Senior Center to provide free legal consultations to senior citizens. Stephanie is also a graduate of Leadership Meridian (2020) and past board member of the Meridian Library Foundation. She currently serves on the City of Meridian’s Impact Fee Committee and is always looking for additional ways to serve or get involved in the community she loves.

When not serving others, Stephanie is with her family. Stephanie is married with three children (and two adorable corgis). In her free time, Stephanie enjoys reading, writing, and listening to podcasts. You can also find her spending time exploring the beautiful landscape of Idaho with her family.
